Racing for a cause
Introducing – TG Group
TG Groups new mission is to race for a cause. Its intent is to gather a pool of sponsorships, claim/purchase thoroughbreds and have them continue racing, with the racing profits going to and benefiting the NSBA Crisis Fund.
The NSBA Crisis Fund is a fund that helps support NSBA professionals experiencing a hardship due to a disaster, or unexpected illness.
Having a pool of sponsorships will enable TG Group to claim/purchase thoroughbreds that can then compete in races throughout the U.S. where they can win money. This money in turn will cover the horses expenses and then profits will be donated.
These horses will be scouted and claimed/purchased for TG Group by Trainer Troy Green.

Trainer
Troy Green

At a young age Troy had a love of horses and it didn't go unnoticed. He caught the eye of legendary horse trainer Tommy Manion. Troy worked for Tommy as a teenager and at the age of 14 Troy won the Youth All-Around at the All American Quarter Horse Congress and went on to put a multitude of wins under his belt in his youth including World and National Championships. Having been in the quarter horse industry as a rider it was a natural progression for Troy to go into training as an adult. Throughout his quarter horse career he has had an incredible eye for horse conformation and body movement, helping him guide his client to over 50 wins at the Congress.
Then in 2017, Troy got the thoroughbred bug. He started by heading to multiple sales and spending his time determining which horses he thought would be the winners at those sales - his "batting average" was nothing to laugh at, so he decided to try his hand at pinhooking. His first couple of hooks yielded $100,000 gains each just 8 months later. "This is where I wanted to be!" said Troy. Then came another big score for a client - this time yielding a $170,000 gain for the client.
It didn't take long for Troy to take it further and start training thoroughbreds for the track. "I just love it!" he said.
And boy does Troy have a keen eye for talent, for being only in the thoroughbred world for a short time he has developed a good eye for finding and training good solid runners and has already had a stakes winner!
